826LA is a nonprofit organization that promotes reading and writing among children ages 6 to 18. In 2017, 826LA requested for a marketing campaign to entice more volunteers to help with their mission. In a team collaboration, myself and three other fellow designers were given a budget to plan, strategize and ultimately provide a series of marketing deliverables to potential volunteers. We created posters for public events around Los Angeles, bookmarks, brochures, various web banners, and collectible pins. The entire marketing suite was then presented to 826LA.

Our marketing strategy to entice potential volunteers was to imagine themselves as historical warriors, fighting for the future of youth and education. Their “victory” would be ultimately committing to a volunteer position.
