Ami Sushi Revised Menu

Using a laser cut technique and textured paper, a recreation of traditional Japan screen doors was created for the menu of this Japanese restaurant.

The processes leading up to the my final visual output was quite the elaborate process. I worked with a laser cut vendor and learned how the laser cut process works, followed by paper research (and yes, the world of paper itself is a a daunting beast in itself). Finally, I engaged in the art of craft - so much trial & error in getting the right materials, measurements, and execution.

I only gave myself one X-acto knife cut on the finger during this creative process!
